Volunteers

Home Up Volunteers Etiquette Social Committee.

Learning the Ropes

New members will want to know how best to settle into their  new club and what procedures and practices should be followed, to ensure that they get the best out of their membership, whilst showing that they are prepared to do their bit as well!

Volunteers.

  1. Our club operates on a voluntary basis and that is why we are able to keep overall costs down and member prices low.

  2. Volunteers are always needed to augment the band of volunteers already in place.

  3. Remember it is too easy to leave it to the other person - take, take, take but never think of giving!

  4. The key positions that need to be augmented from time to time are on the main committees:

Council of Management.

Overall policy and management, including financial management, as a Limited Company with VAT partial exemption.

Men's Committee.

Responsible for the conduct of men's playing activities within the club, including club fixtures, teams etc.

Ladies Committee.

Ladies playing activities as described above for the men.

Social Committee.

Organisation of events of a social nature and fund raising for charity.

If you would like to volunteer to assist in some way, and you would - wouldn't you?

then contact any one of the following:

The President - Daphne Yeowell

The Hon. Sec. - Barry Corps

The Hon Treasurer - Trevor Durbidge

The House Manager - John Read

or

any committee member

We promise not to overload you with jobs and you could work alongside one of the key positions listed above, with a view to taking over as you feel able to do so.

Come on - have a bash!
